I see a twinkle in your eye, so this shall be my Christmas star and I will travel to your heart: the manger where the real things are.
And I will find a mother there who holds you gently to her breast, a father to protect your peace, and by these things you shall be blessed.
And you will always be reborn and I will always see the star and make the journey to your heart: the manger where the real things are.

I’m here. It’s quiet on Christmas Eve. My two babies are in bed by 8pm and sleeping soundly. Truly a Christmas miracle!
I’m here. Feeling alive. Feeling bright. Feeling shiny. Feeling real.
But most of all, I’m feeling peaceful. Just in time for Christmas.
This year.
This big crushing incredible year.
This dark revolting aching year.
It’s finally turning a slow bend. It’s finally rolling into a gentle pocket of stillness. It’s finally extending its hand and offering a little grain of hope.
And I’m holding on to it. Tightly.
I need it. It’s my bright star. I’m going to let it shine my way.
May you feel alive this Christmas. May you find hope. May you find healing. May you find a bright shiny star.
And may you find peace.
Gentle peace.
